New Deal for Young People (NDYP)
Jobseekers can access help with registered childcare costs to enable them to participate in all stages of New Deal provision.The following payments are available:
- Up to a maximum of £35 a day or up to a total of £175 per week for the first child
- Up to a maximum of £60 a day or up to a total of £300 per week if the parent has 2 or more children
New Deal 25plus (ND25plus)
Jobseekers can access help with registered childcare costs to enable them to participate in all stages of New Deal provision.The following payments are available:
- Up to a maximum of £35 a day or up to a total of £175 per week for the first child
- Up to a maximum of £60 a day or up to a total of £300 per week if the parent has 2 or more children
New Deal for Lone Parents (NDLP)
Registered childcare costs can be paid for lone parents participating in the NDLP attending adviser interviews, employer interviews or training. Childcare costs up to £175 a week (£300 two or more children) are available.Childcare Subsidy. Lone parents participating in NDLP, taking work of less than 16 hours may claim help towards childcare costs up to £87.50 a week for one child and £150 for two or more children. If working as well as undertaking approved activity e.g. training, they can claim both the Childcare Subsidy and the Training Premium. In these instances they can claim childcare for the combined activities. This is up to a weekly maximum of £175 for one child and £300 for 2 or more children. For a maximum of 52 weeks only.
Childcare assist (£175/300 a week) provides free childcare in the week before starting work.
