Childcare Training and Development Courses

The Department for Children, Schools and Families has made funding available to SureStart County Durham to support those who work in Early Years and Childcare settings to upgrade their qualifications in line with National targets set by the Government:-

• To increase the number of practitioners with a level 2 qualification in Early Years and Childcare.
• To increase the number of practitioners with a level 3 qualification in Early Years and Childcare.
• To increase the number of graduates holding the Early Years Professional Status in Children's Centres and in every Childcare core setting by 2010/2015.

Unfortunately due to changes in the funding Sure Start County Durham is no longer able to fund anyone who is not employed in Childcare in County Durham
