Supply Cover
Supply cover can be granted to those settings who need to employ a person to cover a member of staff who attends a course.
This will be paid out of Standards Fund allocation for those settings that deliver the Foundation Stage.

If you have used your allocation of these funds then you may be able to apply for supply cover for these courses through SureStart County Durham’s Training Fund.
This fund can be used to remove barriers to training. These can include:
- Course costs.
- Supply cover costs for staff attending training.
- Travel costs.
- Payment for additional training when staff access training out of their own time.
- Childcare costs incurred by staff accessing training in their own time.
